Design Diva Fabrics Introduces Patent-Pending Widget to Online Store

New York, NY (PRWEB) March 12, 2008 -- Design Diva Fabrics recently launched a new, patent-pending widget on its website. The widget allows customers to vote on an upholstery fabric (http://www.designdivafabrics.com) they would like to see on sale. The material that receives the most votes is put into a Count Down mode. During the Count Down, the fabric's price drops every second.

Released about two weeks ago, the widget has quickly become popular with website visitors, and it has led to increased sales for the company. To announce the new widget to customers, Design Diva Fabrics sent out a customer email to everyone who had previously made purchases with them. The company's logo for this new campaign is "Vote Up; Count Down."

Fabrics selected to go on the Count Down are kept there 24 hours, and then a new designer fabric (http://www.designdivafabrics.com) is placed in the sale. If someone purchases the material before the 24-hour mark, the fabric with the next highest number of votes is immediately placed into the Count Down. To date, the widget has met the company's goal of peaking customer interest in their online store selection.

People who wish to vote on a particular fabric must first be a registered customer who has already made a purchase with Design Diva Fabrics. Each customer can vote for several fabrics, but can only give one vote per fabric. Once customers vote on a particular fabric, they receive an email notification when that particular material goes into the Count Down mode.

The widget is available to people who may want to add it to their own websites, whether it's just to show off the new tool or to keep an eye on the lowering prices. The code is provided on the Design Diva Fabrics website and is easily installed.
